WHO WE ARE

Two brothers,one chair,eighteenyears.

Hamada and Tarek Abdelhameed turned a small neighbourhood chair into four full barbershops across Cairo — without ever changing the rule that started it all.

THE STORY

Built by hands,refinedby years.

amada and Tarek Abdelhameed didn't plan a chain. They planned one good chair — the kind their late father, a tailor, had insisted on in his own shop: clean tools, slow hands, and never a customer rushed out the door.

They opened in a four-square-metre Downtown room in 2014, with two chairs, an old espresso machine, and a stack of magazines older than the espresso machine. Three years in, the queue at the door started to feel uncomfortable, so they opened Maadi. Then Zamalek. Then New Cairo.

What didn't change was the rule. Forty-five minutes minimum, every cut. Hand-stropped razors. Real towels, hot from the steamer. No mirror selfies, no rushed fades, no "just a quick one."

"We don't sell haircuts. We sell forty-five quiet minutes."

HAMADA ABDELHAMEED

Twelve master barbers now share the four chairs — some trained in Cairo, some in Istanbul, all trained by Hamada and Tarek personally. The brothers still pick up the shears most mornings; their regulars wouldn't have it any other way.

And the espresso machine? Still the original. Still on, every morning, by 8:45.

HOUSE RULES

Four rules,neverbroken.

Everything we do at the chair traces back to these four. They've survived three locations, twelve hires, and one global pandemic.

01

Take your time.

Forty-five minutes minimum, always. If we finish early, you didn't get the full cut — and we don't do half-cuts.

02

Use real tools.

Hand-stropped razors, German shears, no plastic combs, no chemical shortcuts. The tools matter.

03

Treat every chair the same.

Doesn't matter if you're a regular of ten years or walked in from the street. Same coffee, same towel, same focus.

04

Never fake the craft.

If we can't do it well, we'll tell you. We'd rather lose a booking than send you home with a bad cut.

Sit down.We're ready.

Whatever chair you pick, same care.
